SALE! SALE! SALE!

I am having a sale at my Teacher's Notebook Shop. Everything is 15% off. I have hit a new milestone; I reached over 100 followers! Now, that does not seem like a lot but to me, that is huge. I now have over a 100 at the TpT shop also. YEA!!

Teacher's Notebook is also running a huge savings event. Members will earn double reward dollars on every purchase so the shops are encourage to run sales along side to boost this event. This event runs from October 25th to 27th; the same time frame for my sale.
I have added a lot of new printables to the shops. I have also updated or reformatted all the printables. They have either a new cover, new/changed clip art, more pages added, or some have had a total makeover. I have also added previews to all the printables except the free ones. It shows everything that is in the file. This, I think, is better because now you know what is in there and what you are getting.

Can You See It???

Can you see it????
Can you tell????
Do you know what is different???
 Give up???
Well, I changed the color of the blog; the background and the fonts. Did you know that my favorite all time color is---what for it---BLUE? I love blue!!! If I had my way, everything in my world would be blue. Now, I will say that I do like other colors; red, pink, purple, brown. Although, the color that I am the least fond of is green. I like forest green and jade green but green, green--no, not my favorite. I even have a blue cat. Thank goodness there aren't any green cats--I love cats, also!!

I like to change the blog every now and then and it has been awhile since the last one; I think about a year if memory serves. I found some background papers that I liked but they did not work. There needed to be a change in size or something and I am just not tech savvy to figure it out right now. This is where patience plays into things again. So, I used one of the template backgrounds. Until the next time I feel a change--it works! Maybe by then I will have figured it out--HA!

Speaking of change---on another note, I have been busy reformatting some of my printables. Changes to the covers of some, adding some features to others, redoing some of the graphics, and adding previews to all of the printables except the free ones. If you want to see those, just download; they are free anyway. I have a couple of new ones that I will also post. Until next time!

Dorothy, Dorothy Where are You???

I am afraid she is not in Kansas anymore. A fun interactive book that reinforces positional words, Dorothy is a character from the book and movie, Wizard of Oz. I love the cover. It is so bright and colorful. This goes along the same lines as one of my other printables, Humpty Dumpty Where are You? On each page, the child is to put Dorothy in a different position according to what the page directs. It also helps with following directions which is an important skill to learn. It is in both shops.

Okay----What has been happening in my life????

Well, that is a loaded question. Where do I start?? I think I last mentioned something about student teaching. Got that done!! YEA!! It all worked out in the end--with the Lord's help of course. God is good!!!! I cannot tell you how good it feels to not have to do any homework.
There has been a little bump in the road though. I somehow took the wrong test in May; my
fault--maybe; university's fault--maybe. I would say a little of both. Anyway, I had to take another test in July. This one was about educational pedagogy. It took six weeks to hear back if I passed or not. Another THANK YOU, LORD!!! I was very unsure if I had on this one and knew that if I didn't, I did not want to take it again but would have to and would have to wait sixty days. Did I mention that I hate waiting?
Now, the university can send the letter of recommendation that I had been waiting for--right?? Well, they did but it was wrong. They left one of my student teaching classes off the list. That's a biggie. Back to the drawing board. Now, I am waiting for the revised one to arrive. Did I mention that I hate waiting?
Unfortunately, I missed the window and the opportunity to get a teaching position for this coming school year. Maybe God thought I wasn't ready just yet. I know that He has just the perfect job for me--I have to be patient!! I have to have faith!! But did I mention that I hate waiting??
Financially, it has been rough to say the least. I knew it would be seven months without a job but now it looks to be longer. My hope was that the shops would do well and keep us afloat but they have not. I have only sold three printables in the last three months. I am not sure what I am doing wrong; I have to be patient!! I have to have faith!! But did I mention that I hate waiting??  I hope that we can hang on a little longer. The Lord has kept us thus far; I am sure He will continue and He will work on my patience.

Bobbing for Syllables

Hey, Mrs. Mouse here with another printable for ya! This one turned out pretty cool I think. It is a take on bobbing for apples. There are three mats with apples that have words pertaining to fall, carnivals, and bobbing for apples. The child will determine if the words have one, two, or three syllables. There are apples with numbers on them. They will put the correct number on top of the word apple. A key is provided for them to check their work.

This includes some cute graphics from The Doodle Oven. I just love the name--don't you!!

I won the Apples a la Halloween and I will say they are so stinking cute. They were suppose to be in the printable above but they did not seem to fit so be on the look out for something with this set soon. Any idea--comment below.

New Printables

It is the middle of August already. Where has the time gone?? I have been enjoying my summer this year. For the first time in several years I have not had to do homework--YEA!! On the flip side, however, I still do not have a position as of yet.

In the meantime, I have been working on some printables. I have two ready so far. Many more in the works and planning stage. Here is the first one. I love this one. I like monkeys and bananas. They are so cute. UPDATE (9/14/2014)-- this one has been updated with add features.
With this one, the child has to determine where the sound of the letter Mm is in the word. There is a corresponding mat that they will put their banana once they figure out where the /m/ is. There is also a worksheet to record the number that is one the banana.

The next one is another one of my birthday poster printables. This one has cupcakes instead of the owls. It did not take quite as long to make but just as cute I think.
I did the cupcakes a little different this time. I put a label on each one so that the child's name can be put on the front and be seen. They were so colorful that I did not think that just writing on it, anyone could see their name. If you purchase it and would like it removed, just let me know.

If you want to see the Owl Themed Birthday posters and what they look like, just go the blog archives and choose August 7th of 2013. WOW!! Did not realize it had been a year since I made the owls. Time flies--no pun intended--LOL.

That is it so far. More to come later.

New Printables - Part 1

Here is the list of new printables that I have uploaded so far to Teachers Notebook. I will upload to TpT once I have them all in the other shop. I made about 20 so it is taking longer than I thought. But that's a good thing--right???

This group is the phonics printables. They concentrate of all five vowels.
You can purchase them individually or in the bundle. The bundle is a great value.

It's Here--It's Finally Here!!! Tin Printables!

You ask what is here?? and what am I talking about???

Well, it is finally here. The one thing I have been rolling around in my head for months. My Tin Printables.

This is the first one hot off the presses. It is free. Yes, I said FREE. Just go to one of my shops and pick it up.  The directions are enclosed on how to make it. It uses an Altoid's tin and Mod Podge. I have one more that I have created but I am planning on doing more. Here is a picture of the what the inside looks like.

This is a great way to house your flashcards and transport them with you wherever you go.  No more lost cards. Just pick it up and put it in your pocket.

Any suggestions, comments, or feedback would be appreciated.

I've been bad!!

I have soooo bad---please forgive me for taking so long to write. I have been very neglectful to my little blog. Life has certainly had a bearing on my getting to do this but alas, here I am. Finally!!

A little catching up is in order. I am done with classes and will start student teaching in February was suppose to start student teaching but now am told that the placement will not work. Not only that but I have to take a leave of absence resign from my job at the district that I have work at for so long so that will put my family in a financial hardship more so than it already is. My husband is disabled, you see; I am the only one working. May God hold us together, bless us, and allow us to keep everything without losing it all. It is going to be a long, long rough road; one that I have to take whether I want or not. A leap of faith. I was excited and nervous but now I am petrified, confused, and hurt.

I am very proud of myself, though. I got an A in every class, 30 total, and my GPA is 3.98. Not bad for an almost 53 year old. I am glad it is over with. Enough with homework for this old gal--for now anyway.

It was time for some R & R so to say the least, I was so looking forward to winter break except it has dragged on for another week with this Polar Vortex and snow. The roads are a sheet of ice out here in the country not to mention the -10 degrees. We now have to make up four days. We forfeit MLK day and President's day--so far. Winter is just starting. We have two to three months of this stuff. Will spring ever come???

While I was home, I have been busy making printables for my shops. I finally got back into the grove of making them. It has been forever. I will post them here for all to see as I upload them to my shops. I think there is going to be about 20. I have also made two bundles; one of my rhyming games and another one of my new phonics games. I hope they do well!!

Oh, by the way, my birthday will be next week. Maybe I will do a sale for that event or a giveaway. Never done that before. Hum!

I also have developed a new kind of printable for my shops. Details will be revealed when I upload all the new games. Can't wait to see if anyone likes it. HINT--it has to do with Altoids. Enough said.
